Ep 4 is a conceptually brilliant, 6.5/10 slice of genre satire, beautifully animated with great character designs for the Vindicators. The art and animation perfectly capture the superhero aesthetic it skewers.
However, “Vindicators 3” feels more clever than genuinely funny, lacking the density of top-tier jokes needed for a classic episode. The Saw-inspired plot is a fantastic device, cleverly exposing the heroes’ flaws, but the constant superhero parody often overrides the series’ unique, laugh-out-loud comedy.
It serves its purpose as a strong commentary on Rick and Morty’s toxic dynamic, but doesn’t quite hit the high comedic standard set by “Pickle Rick.”
