This is the chapter I love for finally uniting our three incredible storylines, and you are right-it is absolutely a 9/10. The personal tension and high-stakes teamwork are electric.
The moment Hopper and Joyce confirm the conspiracy and realize they have to fight the government, not just a monster, is deeply satisfying. Winona Ryder’s Joyce, energized and focused, paired with Hopper’s grizzled determination, makes for an amazing detective duo.
But the real thrill is the collision of the teens and the kids. Seeing Eleven use her power to bridge the gap between their missions, proving Will is alive and Barb is lost, is a raw emotional punch that motivates everyone perfectly. Throwing Steve into the mix just as Nancy and Jonathan are arming up for a hunt adds perfect, grounded teen drama to the supernatural chaos.
The team is finally assembled, and I suspect the action is just about to explode.
