I really enjoyed this episode; it’s a brilliant, chaotic Thanksgiving special that hits a solid 7.5/10.
It’s not just funny, but it tackles some genuinely thoughtful themes. The plot is a non-stop, ridiculous war between Rick and the President, sparked by Rick’s efforts to sabotage the holiday’s annual tradition. This immediately escalates into a massive, hilarious battle involving the literal militarization of the Thanksgiving turkey.
What elevated this for me was the underlying commentary. Amidst the chaos and absurd violence, the episode manages to satirize how society exploits and then quickly forgets the realities of military trauma. The story uses its ridiculous premise to deliver a surprisingly poignant message about the PTSD and challenges faced by veterans.
It’s a great blend of high-energy comedy and unexpected depth.
