This episode is built around misunderstandings and parental overreaction, and while the setup is solid, the humour between Hank and Kahn does not land as strongly as it aims to. Their rivalry feels more mechanical here, repeating beats the show has handled with more sharpness in other episodes.
The standout elements come from Bobby and Connie, whose composed, almost understated behaviour contrasts nicely with the adults’ anxious energy. The pacing remains steady, and the script keeps the situation believable, even when it edges toward the absurd. Still, the comedy never fully clicks, especially in the central Hank-Kahn exchanges, which feel more strained than witty.
A decent, serviceable entry in Season 2 – but not one of its more memorable outings.
