When Logic Takes the Night Off
Ep 10 is where Brilliant Minds stumbles into full daytime-soap territory, minus the narrative patience that makes a soap remotely engaging.
The supposed emotional centre – a long-held professional grudge – is presented with such flimsy reasoning that it borders on the absurd, and the script never earns the weight it so desperately wants.
The episode flits between a jittery ballerina, an ailing paramedic, and an increasingly petulant resident, yet none of these threads are allowed the depth or clarity they deserve. What should have been a tense character reckoning becomes a baffling barrage of heightened reactions and illogical motivations.
With almost no meaningful episodic case to anchor the hour, the drama feels manufactured rather than inevitable. A total misfire for the series… loud, messy, and emotionally hollow.
