Season 7’s second outing dives into classic Rick-and-Jerry beef with a mind-swap gone wrong, turning into full-on body horror fusion madness. The concept is pure Rick and Morty weirdness… swapping brains to “prove” smarts, only for it to escalate into a godlike Jerricky monster saving the family from space gangsters.
Chris Parnell kills it as usual, especially voicing the enlightened hybrid, and the new Rick voice feels more locked-in here.
But honestly, the humor didn’t land as hard for me; a lot of the bickering felt forced, and the plot veers off into repetitive aggression vibes without the sharp payoff of the premiere’s chaotic party energy. It’s enjoyable enough with some gross laughs and action, but compared to Season 6’s top-class consistency, this one runs out of steam midway.
Still a good watch, although below average for R&M. 6/10.
