This is exactly what I wanted. The show stops being a teen comedy and turns into a full-blown nightmare. 8.5/10
The hospital sequence is pure, nail-biting tension, reminding me of 80s creature features where things get messy and gross. Seeing the monsters literally melt and reform is a high point for the season’s effects. While the adults chase Russian leads, the real terror is back home.
It’s grisly, fast, and finally feels like the stakes are life or death. If you have a weak stomach, look away, because the body horror here is relentless and awesome.
