I loved Bill of Sales, it is one of Season 4’s most sharply written character episodes, pairing Peggy’s ambition with Bill’s fragile psychology to excellent effect.
What begins as a satire of get-rich-quick sales culture evolves into a surprisingly insightful look at validation and self-worth. Bill’s sudden success is both hilarious and revealing, exposing how easily his need for approval can be exploited. Peggy, meanwhile, is given layered development… her confidence, competitiveness, and blind spots all on display.
The humour remains consistent throughout, but it’s rooted in personality rather than gimmick. By the end, the episode feels earned rather than preachy, offering growth without sacrificing laughs.
8.5/10: A strong showcase for two often-underestimated characters.
