Ep 10 is a sharp and engaging satire on regional pride, taking Hank’s Texas identity to hilarious extremes. The writing cleverly questions whether identity is truly defined by where you’re born or by the values you live by, and it does so without ever feeling heavy-handed.
The humour landed consistently (for me), driven by Hank’s increasingly intense reaction and the absurd situations that follow. At the same time, there’s a thoughtful undercurrent that gives the episode more weight than a typical comedy entry. It balances satire and character-driven storytelling very effectively, making it both funny and meaningful. The pacing stays tight, and the payoff feels earned.
Overall, it’s one of the stronger episodes of the season, combining smart themes with classic KOTH humor.
