The Lockes mount their most coordinated offensive yet, deploying multiple keys in clever combination, and for a glorious few minutes it genuinely looks like it might work. When it doesn’t, the fallout is fast, brutal and thrilling.
The Keyhouse confrontation crackles with tension, and the forest rescue is the season’s most pulse-racing action sequence.
The Demon Key’s arrival – while perhaps telegraphed for attentive viewers – is nonetheless alarming, and what Gabe does with it immediately raises the stakes considerably. A villain finally getting his weapon of choice, while simultaneously discarding his last ally, makes for a genuinely ominous closing beat.
7.5/10: The endgame is now unmistakably in motion.
