This episode takes a while to find its footing, starting with a somewhat slow setup around lawnmower racing that feels like familiar territory.
However, once the “medical mystery” of Hank’s back pain is revealed, the story takes a hilarious turn into the absurd. The introduction of the support group for “narrow-cheeked” men is where the writing truly catches fire, offering a brilliant spoof of self-help culture that fits perfectly within the Arlen universe.
Watching Hank navigate the humiliation of a prosthetic posterior while facing Cotton’s relentless mocking provides some of the biggest laughs of the season.
The second half moves at a much faster clip, culminating in a ridiculous yet triumphant finale at the racetrack. It is a great example of how the show can take a bizarre, specific physical gag and turn it into a genuine moment of character growth and neighborhood pride. 7.5/10.
