This is a strong KOTH that balances comedy and sentimentality perfectly. What really makes this work is having all four friends together as they dig into the mystery of Bill’s military records.
Seeing the core group unite to support Bill – even while Dale is fueling wild conspiracies – adds a layer of warmth to the absurd “Operation Infinite Walrus” premise. Bill’s breakdown is both heartbreaking and hilarious, culminating in a tank joyride that feels like a desperate cry for agency.
While the B-story with Peggy’s ice cream obsession is largely inconsequential, the main plot delivers deep character moments and a touching ending that reinforces the bond between the guys. 7.5/10.
