Ep 8 “Nomortland” is easily one of the best episodes of Season 8 so far, and a very welcome surprise after an unspectacular stretch. Giving Jerry a full spotlight episode was long overdue, and it works beautifully.
The quiet, introspective road-trip story following Mooch Jerry through “The Road” and the Grand Central of abandoned Jerrys is surprisingly touching and funny without relying on the usual high-concept chaos.
Chris Parnell absolutely shines carrying the double role with real heart and classic Jerry awkwardness. The title is a clever play on Nomadland, and the “No Morty” pun lands perfectly. It explores Jerry’s invisibility as both a curse and a strange superpower in a way that feels fresh for the show.
While the season has been up and down, this one stands out as thoughtful, character-driven, and genuinely strong. Definitely an 8/10 for me.
