I've rewatched the The Big Bang Theory pilot multiple times, and it still feels fresh every single time. It doesn't feel like a typical "setup" episode at all… everything just flows naturally, and before you know it, you're already locked into these characters.
What really hits me is how tight the writing is. There's no filler, no wasted dialogue – every scene has a purpose and lands cleanly. The humour feels effortless rather than forced.
Jim Parsons stands out immediately with his delivery, but he never feels like a gimmick. At the same time, Johnny Galecki gives the show just enough grounding to keep it relatable.
For me, this is exactly how a sitcom should start – simple, sharp, and instantly rewatchable. It sets the tone without overexplaining anything, and that's why it works so well. 8.5/10.
