Three episodes in and the pattern is clear – each week this show gets a little sharper, a little stranger, and a little harder to put down. 8.5/10.
The Sea Hag is a brilliant addition. She’s creepy enough to genuinely unsettle you, but the way the show deploys her – through misunderstandings, bad timing, and Tom’s magnificent stubbornness – keeps it firmly in dark comedy territory. The Marissa twist at the end is a small gut-punch. Tom’s paranoia is now completely justified, and completely destructive at the same time.
Rhys continues to carry the show effortlessly. But Root’s Wyck is becoming just as essential – the unlikely hero nobody wanted but everyone needed.
What’s working best right now is the balance. The scares feel real, the laughs feel earned, and the mystery keeps layering without ever getting muddy. This is a show that knows exactly what it’s doing.
