I had a lot of fun with this episode, even if I do think it was a bit uneven compared to some of the stronger Season 1 entries. When the humour lands though, it absolutely lands. Some scenes genuinely had me laughing out loud.
The team competition setup is perfect for TBBT because it fully leans into the characters' egos, competitiveness, and complete inability to function normally around each other. The team names alone were hilarious and felt exactly like something this group would obsess over.
I also loved the ending payoff with the Russian contestant. That final joke completely worked for me and was probably the funniest moment in the whole episode.
The episode does wobble a little in pacing and consistency, but the best jokes are strong enough that I still came away really enjoying it.
A solid and very funny 7.5/10 overall.
