After such a promising season opener, this episode turned out to be quite meh. A ton of things happen on screen – we get a wedding, a brand-new time-travel key, and a literal home invasion – but none of it feels like it is actually pushing the overarching narrative forward.
The story just feels like it is spinning its wheels without going anywhere in particular. Tyler’s sudden return adds a bit of emotional warmth, but watching the villains easily stroll in and rob the place while everyone is distracted felt a bit lazy.
6.5/10: It is a frustratingly flat chapter that drops the ball on the premiere’s momentum, leaving me hoping the show picks up the pace quickly.
