This was a decent way to kick off Season 3, but not one of the show's strongest openers. It felt a little heavy on the Leonard-Penny stuff, which made me worry the season might lean too much in that direction.
Still, Sheldon's meltdown after the North Pole disaster was classic and hilarious as always. Seeing him completely fall apart and then getting a quick look at his hometown side plus his mom was a fun touch.
Overall it's a solid enough return with some good laughs, but it didn't blow me away like some of the better episodes from last season.
