This was a good episode, though not one of the standout ones for me.
Leonard trying to convince Penny to go along with that old pact he made with Howard was genuinely funny. The double date itself was even better – watching Howard and Bernadette connect over their nightmare mothers was sweet and hilarious at the same time.
Bringing in Wil Wheaton as Sheldon's rival was a really nice surprise. Seeing him so many years after TNG brought back some fun nostalgia. The Mystic Warlords of Ka'a tournament gave Sheldon some strong material too.
7.5/10: Overall it's solid and entertaining, even if it doesn't reach the highest peaks of the show.
