Ep 9 “Pigmalion” starts off weird and honestly a bit boring. I was checking my watch during the first half, wondering where the episode was actually going.
But then the second half hits, and it completely pivots into this creepy, almost horror-like vibe. It’s so unlike King of the Hill, but I actually loved it.
Finally, Luanne gets to be the absolute centerpiece of an episode after being sidelined for way too long. Watching her navigate Trip’s bizarre, unsettling cloning proposal gave the show a genuinely fresh, uncomfortable edge.
8/10: It’s a bold swing that totally pays off. I don’t care if it breaks the usual formula; it kept me hooked and proved the writers can still deliver something genuinely unexpected, sharp, and highly memorable.
