Solid but not quite peak Rick and Morty. 7.5/10.
Ep 9 “Salute Your Morts” delivers a fun camp parody with a nice nod to the old Nickelodeon Salute Your Shorts vibes – the Morty-centric antics are hilarious and keep the innovative spirit alive.
Beth and Jerry’s stoner subplot starts strong with real potential but settles into average territory by the end. Still, the jokes hit consistently and it’s a breezy, enjoyable watch that fits the season’s groove.
Harry Belden shines with the Morty chaos, and the family split works well enough. Better than some of the mid-season dips but doesn’t reach the highs of the kung fu or parasite episodes.
