This S15 opener gets the revival season 2 off to a decent start by dropping us right back into the familiar Rainey Street vibe.
The main story nails that classic King of the Hill feel – Hank and the guys obsessing over something that disrupts their routine, with Peggy jumping in and stirring the pot. I really enjoyed how it leaned into the culture clash: old-school Texas practicality and skepticism about flashy new tech bumping up against a world that’s moved on. It’s funny without feeling mean, and the alley banter still hits.
The Bobby side of things didn’t land quite as well for me… it came across a little forced and less natural than the neighborhood chaos. Still, it’s great to see these characters older and dealing with real-life grown-up stuff.
7.5/10: Overall, it’s not the strongest episode the show has ever done, but a welcome reminder of why we love these folks. Excited for more episodes now that the revival is rolling… here’s hoping the season builds from here.
