Ep 20 "Racist Dawg" is a brilliantly constructed episode.
It starts innocently enough, rooted in Hank's stubborn DIY pride, before escalating into the absurd Ladybird and racism arcs. I absolutely loved how the plot came full circle, revealing that dogs simply take after their masters. Ladybird wasn't racist; she was just mirroring
Hank's intense, irrational hatred for anyone touching his water heater. It's a sharp, clever twist that perfectly satirizes how quickly misunderstandings spiral in Arlen.
Bernie Mac's deadpan delivery as Mack is the perfect foil to Hank's escalating panic. The online test gag and the church intervention are hilarious, but the core message 'that our pets reflect our own deeply buried quirks and biases' gives the episode real weight.
7.5/10: A smart, tightly written outing.
