Ep 3 leans heavily into the soap opera elements of the show, and honestly, that is where it works best right now. The legal case still feels like a slow burn, dragging its feet while the very heavy personal drama takes center stage. We get a lot of family filler here.
Jax dealing with her daughter's growing pains, Fallon's protests, and Damon's probation issues eat up most of the screen time. If you came for intense courtroom battles, you might still be waiting. But if you enjoy soapy drama, the episode actually delivers. The personal stakes are getting higher, and the guilt Jax feels about neglecting her family gives the show real emotional weight. It is definitely getting easier to sink into these messy lives.
The writers just need to remember this is a legal thriller and speed up the actual case before the pacing drags the entire show down. 6.5/10.
