Part Three finally delivers what the first two hours kept promising. We start with the medical catastrophe – a two percent chance of surviving the night – and the episode never lets you forget how fragile the rest of his time was. The recovery voices here broke me a little. A late-night phone call about missing teeth, of all things, tells you more about the fear he lived with than any headline did.
Then the film changes shape, and I didn't expect that. What actually happened in his final weeks, who was around him, and what the courts decided – I admit I didn't know most of it, and piecing it together through the investigators felt genuinely gripping. Perry once said his death would shock people without surprising them. This episode explains both halves of that sentence.
The ending, with his sister at the funeral, is devastating without ever feeling manipulative.
Sad, honest, and finally worthy of him. A 7.5/10 from me: the finale this story deserved.
