A lot of threads move forward here, and almost none of them pay off yet. That could have felt like filler, and I know how this show pads, because Season 3 was full of it. This isn't that. It's setup, and it feels like setup with a purpose.
Still, I finished wanting more resolution than I got. That's the cost of an hour that mostly lays groundwork, and it keeps this at good rather than great.
I'm hoping next week cashes in two of the biggest threads: the late turn near the end and the official pressure closing in on Dwight. If those land, this reads as a smart build. If they fizzle, it starts to look like the stalling that dragged down Season 3.
7.5/10.
Where to watch
Paramount+ has a US Season 4 listing, but access to Episode 4 was not verified. Its UK page and the direct JioHotstar India listing still show 3 seasons, so Season 4 Episode 4 access and plan eligibility remain unverified there. Check the required episode before subscribing. Playback was not tested.
