Tears, Laughs, and Pure Heart
IMDb rating: 9/10
Bajrangi Bhaijaan stole my heart – it’s a must-see!
Salman Khan as Pawan, a big-hearted Hindu, had me rooting for him as he vows to reunite Shahida, a mute Pakistani girl (Harshaali Malhotra), with her family. Their bond is pure magic, especially in the interval scene… perfectly placed, it’s a burst of emotion and heart that left me teary-eyed.
Harshaali’s silent expressions broke me, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s quirky reporter had me laughing out loud. Kareena Kapoor’s Rasika adds warmth, though I wished for more of her.
Kabir Khan’s direction weaves love and unity across borders, with Aseem Mishra’s Kashmir visuals making every frame glow. V. Vijayendra Prasad’s story hits every emotional note, and Pritam’s soulful qawwali still gives me chills. A few songs slow things down, but they are all great music; and that climax? I was sobbing and cheering! I watched it glued to the screen, but it’d still shine with a phone nearby.
This Salman classic is a heartfelt triumph of humanity… don’t miss it!
