State of Siege: Temple Attack

Akshardham: Operation Vajra Shakti on Prime storms the TV screen with raw intensity, loosely rooted in the 2002 Lashkar-e-Taiba temple siege… dramatizing NSG’s real Operation Vajra Shakti with authentic military tactics and fictional heroics. This movie previously released 4 years ago on Zee5 as “State of Siege: Temple Attack”.

The re-release revives India’s counter-terror legacy amid global threats, a timely tribute pulsing with emotional resonance. Akshaye Khanna’s Major Hanut Singh is a haunted dynamo, his steely resolve and inner turmoil anchoring a crackling narrative of covert ops and hostage stakes. Gautam Rode and Vivek Dahiya shine as loyal commandos, their camaraderie fueling breathless action- sniper duels and CQB that hit like a monsoon.

Ken Ghosh’s direction, paired with Aseem Mishra’s gritty visuals, crafts a visceral battlefield, while Siddharth Mahadevan’s score thumps with restrained patriotism. The screenplay blends emotion and adrenaline seamlessly, outshining most patriotic thrillers. Only a late detour into Bollywood tropes (overdone drama in the final stretch) slightly softens the edge but that’s a minor quibble.

At 7.5/10, it’s a lean, mean siege saga that demands your pulse… unsung heroes deserve this roar.
