Gatillero

Gatillero is a bold experiment in real-time storytelling, shot in a single continuous take that plunges viewers into the chaotic world of Isla Maciel.

While the technical prowess is undeniable – director’s seamless long take immerses you in the tension – this Argentinian thriller struggles to fully captivate. The plot follows Pablo “El Galgo” Correa, a former hitman (played with grit by Sergio Podeley), as he’s drawn back into crime.

The moral complexity and systemic corruption are compelling in concept, but the execution feels uneven. Some scenes meander, and character depth takes a backseat to the film’s ambitious structure. Still, it’s a valiant effort that deserves praise for pushing boundaries.

A 6/10 that’s more fascinating than flawless.
