Rewatching Coco with family this weekend reminded me why Pixar sits in a league of its own.
The film’s emotional heartbeat – Miguel’s love for music clashing with his family’s past – still lands beautifully. The animation dazzles, especially the Land of the Dead, which feels alive with color, humor, and soul.
What truly lifts Coco is how personal it feels: a story about memory, legacy, and the bonds that outlive us. “Remember Me” remains an instant tear trigger. My kids loved the adventure and comedy; I felt the deeper ache of loss and belonging.
Verdict: Warm, moving, and visually gorgeous – Coco still strikes the perfect chord between laughter and lump-in-the-throat emotion.
