Dirty Angels is one of those films that remind you how far a good idea can fall when buried under lazy writing. I expected some B-movie rough edges, but this was riddled with clichés, underdeveloped ideas, and an almost complete lack of authenticity.
It gets not just the local culture wrong (accents, customs, setting) but somehow even misrepresents the U. S. Marines it’s supposed to showcase. The dialogue is robotic, the pacing painfully monotonous, and there’s zero sense of excitement or urgency.
By the halfway mark, I had my laptop open checking emails… and still didn’t miss a thing. Eva Green deserves better than this cardboard chaos. With a director of Martin Campbell’s pedigree, the result feels shockingly lifeless.
It’s not just bad; it’s boring – the ultimate cinematic sin.
