Just watched Manorama: Six Feet Under and 7.5/10 – holy hell, what a find!
I went in blind and got blown away. Abhay Deol is chef’s kiss… a loser with zero swagger but all the sarcasm. Gul Panag? Fire. Raima Sen? Chills. The twists hit like sandstorms – every 10 minutes I was like “Wait, WHAT?!”
Navdeep Singh directs like a desi Coen brother: dry humor, dusty vibes, and zero songs (thank God). Rajasthan feels alive – sweaty, corrupt, real. No hero entry, no slow-mo, just pure plot that keeps you guessing till the last frame.
I doubt this would have worked at the box office in 2007… this is a Saturday night must-watch. Dim the lights, grab chai, and let this underrated gem wreck your brain. Wish Bollywood made more like this.
