Shershaah

Shershaah struck a really satisfying balance for me – emotional enough to care deeply, yet tight enough to stay fully engaged. At 8.5/10, it’s one of the better modern Hindi war dramas because it doesn’t try to oversell its heroism; it simply lets Vikram Batra’s story speak for itself.

Sidharth Malhotra surprised me with how committed and sincere he is here. His performance feels lived-in, whether it’s the way he speaks to his men or the warmth he brings to the love story. Kiara Advani anchors the emotional core beautifully – their scenes give the film heart without ever dragging the narrative.

What I appreciated most was the pacing. Vishnuvardhan’s direction keeps things clean and focused, and the script moves with purpose. The battle sequences are shot with clarity, the stakes feel real, and the camaraderie is genuinely moving.

By the end, I felt both the thrill of the mission and the weight of the sacrifice. A very well-crafted watch.
