Just cranked the volume, dimmed the lights and unleashed Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure on my two kids, half-braced for it to collapse under the weight of 35 years.
Five minutes in they were howling, ten minutes in they were air-guitaring, and by the end they’d declared it the greatest film in human history. Ok that might be a slight exaggeration :)
But Honestly? This is pure, uncut cinematic joy: a neon-soaked, time-hopping, totally ridiculous romp that somehow still feels fresher than half the blockbusters churned out today. Keanu and Alex Winter bounce off each other like over-excited puppies armed with the best one-liners of the 80s.
The historical cameos are inspired lunacy, the soundtrack slaps harder than it has any right to, and the whole thing radiates such boundless goodwill you’ll leave grinning like an idiot. Yeah, the effects are endearingly cheap now, but who cares?
It’s EXCELLENT. 8/10 and proud of it. Party on, dudes!
