Jingle Bell Heist

Too Many Threads, Barely a Caper

IMDb rating: 4/10

Jingle Bell Heist kicked off with proper promise – a cheeky Christmas caper blending romance and robbery in twinkly London town. Olivia Holt and Connor Swindells spark nicely as our desperate duo, with enough wit and warmth to hook you early doors.

But dash it all, after a cracking first 20 minutes, it veers off into a right muddle of tangled subplots and side characters, faffing about like a drunk uncle at the mince pies. By the time the actual heist arrives – barely five minutes of screen time – it's all fizzled out. Lucy Punch nicks a few laughs, mind, but Netflix really needs to sharpen up; this one's more lump of coal than festive cracker.

A generous 4/10 at best – watchable holiday fluff if you're multitasking, but they're churning out too much trash these days. Sort it out, lads!
