The Wrecker (2025)

The Wrecker is aptly named… it wrecks your time, patience, and faith in cinema.

After a barely-passable first 10 min (generous 5/10), this disaster plummets into unwatchable territory. The acting is atrocious – Foster’s wooden protagonist, Gibson’s disengaged detective, and most tragically, Harvey Keitel sleepwalking through what should embarrass him. Comparing Keitel’s presence here to Reservoir Dogs is insulting; the only commonality is the colour white – Mr. White there, white hair here.

Art Camacho’s direction is catastrophically incompetent. Shaky-cam action sequences are incoherent. Dialogue sounds written by middle schoolers. Editing resembles amateur iMovie projects.

Every 80s/90s action cliché is recycled without wit or skill. The 94-minute runtime feels interminable. Stefan Colson’s cinematography is the only somewhat competent element -everything else fails spectacularly. This vanity project exists solely to make Niko Foster an action star. It doesn’t.

Save yourself 90 min of misery.
