Oppenheimer

Epic, Engaging, Essential – Another Masterpiece from Nolan

IMDb rating: 8/10

This is everything I’d heard and then some… a modern classic at 8.5/10.

I was hesitant about a slow three-hour movie, but there’s not a single filler moment. Nolan makes every minute engaging, building relentless tension even in dialogue-heavy scenes.

The cast is a genuine who’s who, and everyone delivers, but this belongs to Cillian Murphy. His Oppenheimer is haunted, brilliant, tragic – a performance for the ages. Robert Downey Jr. And Matt Damon provide equally notable support, with Downey especially revelatory in a career-best turn.

Visually stunning, intellectually rigorous, morally complex… Nolan trusts his audience completely. The Trinity test is spectacular, but the film’s real power lies in its exploration of genius, responsibility, and consequences. The runtime flies by; the themes linger long after.

This is filmmaking at the highest level: ambitious, accessible, artistically uncompromising. A biographical drama that achieves genuine epic scope while remaining intensely human. Essential viewing.
