Bombshell

Entertaining Yes, Honest No

IMDb rating: 6/10

Engaging and watchable at 6.5/10, but it doesn’t feel like a real story. The acting is strong, the movie moves quickly, and it keeps your attention.

But the political bias is obvious throughout. Fox News is shown as completely evil with no shading, while the women are presented as pure heroes. The real people were more complicated than this… they weren’t just victims, they also participated in Fox’s culture for years.

Ailes is a cartoon villain with zero depth. The movie wants to be serious about harassment while keeping everything slick and entertaining, which feels wrong for this subject.

Robbie gives the most honest performance, especially in the harassment scenes. Theron and Kidman are technically good but playing sanitized versions of real people.

Worth watching once for the performances, but don’t expect the whole truth. It’s a Hollywood version of events, not an authentic biography.
