Khandaani Shafakhana tackles sexual health stigma with good intentions and genuine laughs, but squanders its potential with bloat and heavy-handedness.

The premise (woman inherits uncle’s sex clinic, faces small-town prejudice) has “Vicky Donor” potential, but the execution can’t match that film’s brilliance.

Sonakshi does solid work (par for her course), while Varun Sharma and Kulbhushan Kharbanda provide excellent support.

But it is Annu Kapoor who delivers the film’s best performance with dignity and gravitas, though his role is criminally limited to the opening and courtroom climax. That court case is the film’s weakest element… preachy, unnecessary discourse on sex when the humor had already communicated everything perfectly.

Cut 30 min from the dragging middle and eliminate the courtroom speeches, and this could’ve been great. Instead, it’s merely good – engaging but a missed opportunity.
