De De Pyaar De 2 (2025)

Didn’t expect much from De De Pyaar De 2, but overall it’s a solid 6.5/10 – mainly because the last 25 minutes deliver hilarious chaos and emotional payoff that flips the script from average to surprisingly fun.

The climax at the family wedding explodes with revelations, Ayesha’s con on her parents and Ashish, and heartfelt reconciliation that makes the age-gap romance feel earned and modern.

But patience is key – many might bail early. It starts slowly, drags in the middle with repetitive family jokes and generational banter that overstays, and those unnecessary songs (most forgettable except the decent end-credits one) kill the pace and feel forced.

Acting is functional without standout moments: Ajay Devgn is easygoing but low-effort, Rakul Preet Singh carries it with strong energy and vulnerability, R. Madhavan is okay the sharp-witted dad, and the ensemble (Meezaan, Jaaved, Ishita) adds solid laughs in the finale.

At 6.5/10, it’s watchable family rom-com fluff… stick it out for the riotous last stretch that saves it. Recommend for breezy laughs if you can endure the slow build.
