A Seamless Extension of the Pilot
This second chapter feels like a direct extension of the pilot, and it’s easy to see how these two could have been fused into one longer premiere.
The story remains steady, maintaining the same middle-of-the-road energy without really ramping up the tension or the stakes. It’s watchable and does its job of expanding the mystery, but it hasn’t quite grabbed me yet. The focus on the “Barash Vow” adds some nice lore flavor for comic fans, but the overall execution still feels a bit thin compared to the heavy hitters of the franchise.
It’s a consistent but safe follow-up.
