The Wrecking Crew (2026)

The Wrecking Crew is a decent B-movie: the kind that, back in the ’90s, would’ve gone straight to VHS and now lands on Prime or Netflix. It’s watchable, occasionally fun, but never more than that.

Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista’s buddy-cop chemistry works for the most part: their contrasting personalities (chaotic cop vs. Disciplined SEAL) create some genuine laughs and solid action moments.

But the writing lets them down. Their characters could’ve used more depth, and the comedy often feels forced, undercutting the emotional weight of the action. Some jokes land, but others feel misplaced, almost like the film can’t decide if it wants to be a dark action-thriller or a goofy comedy.

The action scenes are well-executed: nothing groundbreaking, but competent for a mid-budget flick. You can tell this wasn’t made with a blockbuster budget, but the stunt work and choreography hold up.

That said, the plot is predictable, and the conspiracy angle feels undercooked. At 2 hours, it’s perfect for a distracted watch… good enough to keep you engaged while you check emails or scroll through your phone.

6/10: A solid, forgettable B-movie that delivers on its promise of mindless fun, but don’t expect anything deeper. If you’re a fan of Momoa and Bautista’s dynamic, you’ll find enough to enjoy, but it’s nothing you’ll remember next week.
