A Season Redeemed in the End
IMDb rating: 8/10
The finale of Run Away finally delivers the clarity and momentum the mid-season desperately lacked.
After several episodes of convolution and narrative stalling, this closing chapter is focused, decisive, and emotionally grounded. Threads that once felt bloated are tightened efficiently, and the central father-daughter core returns to the forefront where it always belonged.
The pacing is confident, the stakes feel earned, and the resolution is both coherent and satisfying without tipping into melodrama. Most importantly, it corrects earlier structural drift. The mystery clicks into place, motivations make sense, and the emotional payoff lands cleanly.
7.5/10: It's not groundbreaking television, but it is solid and well-executed when it matters most.
Overall the season had a strong hook, a muddled middle, and a late surge of control. Not a standout in the Harlan Coben catalogue, but engaging enough to justify the journey once it regains its footing.
