Surveillance Starts Screaming
IMDb rating: 7/10
I really liked how this opener threw me straight into a world where every camera feels like it could be lying. The tension builds fast, and I was hooked from the first scene.
Holliday Grainger plays Rachel Carey with this quiet, determined edge that makes her instantly watchable… she doesn’t shout or overact, she just keeps pushing. Callum Turner brings real raw panic and anger to Shaun; you feel his confusion and desperation in every look.
The whole surveillance setup isn’t just clever background… it’s the engine of the story, and it made me uncomfortable in the best way, constantly second-guessing what I was seeing.
That said, a couple of plot leaps felt a bit too convenient and pulled me out for a second.
Still, the atmosphere, the questions it raises about truth and footage, and the strong leads made it a gripping start. I ended up really enjoying it despite those niggles. 7.5/10.
