From Slough House to Regent’s Park
IMDb rating: 8/10
Ep 2 “Hard Lessons” doesn’t waste a second. River’s desperate dash into Regent’s Park is tense, messy, and darkly funny – just like the show at its best. The episode cranks up the pressure, with Catherine’s kidnapping driving every reckless move. Gary Oldman’s Lamb cuts through the chaos with his usual mix of brutality and dry wit, while the team’s scrappy loyalty keeps things grounded.
The ending lands like a punch to the gut, flipping expectations and leaving you second-guessing everyone. Diana Taverner’s shady maneuvers add another layer of distrust, and the dark humour never undercuts the stakes.
It’s a 7.5/10 episode because it balances action, intrigue, and character without overplaying its hand. No fluff, no filler… just sharp, gripping spy drama.
