Lamb’s Taxi Ram and the Art of Chaotic Rescue Missions
IMDb rating: 7/10
Ep 3 “Penny for Your Thoughts” is where the pieces start clicking into place… and Taverner’s cunning leads the charge.
This episode deepens the conspiracy with River’s French detour revealing Frank Harkness’ cult of assassins, while Flyte’s rise (that handcuff scene! Iconic) and Lamb’s chaotic brilliance keep the energy high. The Les Arbres compound is creepy and compelling, and the mob chase/escape is pure Slow Horses tension.
Taverner’s resourcefulness (scrubbing records, blackmailing Whelan) and Flyte’s growing importance (outmaneuvering Lamb, hunting David) steal the show. The tailing scene-Chapman’s near-miss, Lamb’s taxi ram-is edge-of-seat stuff, though David’s disappearance feels a tad rushed.
7.5/10: A strong, twisty mid-season entry that balances action, intrigue, and dark humor, even if a few threads (like David’s arc) still need tightening.
