Zombies… Before Zombies Were Cool
Ep 7 “Pinkeye” is another good South Park episode, though not as memorable as the last few. The zombie-like outbreak from a mutated cow eye feels prophetic, predating The Walking Dead and similar shows by years. The humour is mixed, but the absurdity of the premise – kids turning into red-eyed, contagious monsters – is classic South Park.
It’s a 6.5/10 effort: fun, weird, and a little uneven, but still packed with the show’s signature irreverence. The episode proves that South Park could tackle horror-comedy before it was mainstream, even if this one doesn’t stick in the memory as strongly as others.
