South Park: S4.E9 Do the Handicapped Go to Hell?

Great Setup, But the Satanic Soap Opera Felt a Bit Too Repetitive

I really thought this episode had incredibly strong potential in the first half, especially with the kids panicking over Father Maxi’s terrifying fire-and-brimstone sermon.

Watching them obsess over whether a kid who can only say his own name is mathematically doomed to damnation is classic, dark South Park gold. Cartman turning into a corrupt backyard evangelical preacher was also fantastic.

But for me, the momentum completely stalled once the story shifted focus to the underworld. The whole toxic love triangle subplot with Satan, Chris, and Saddam Hussein just felt way too repetitive and dragged down the pacing.

7/10: It is still a pretty solid watch, but the brilliant setups in the church definitely outshine the underwhelming execution down in Hell.
