Out with the Third Grade, In with the Saggy Breasts and Strict Rules
Ms. Choksondik totally stole this entire episode, delivering some of the most hilariously irreverent and rude character writing in true, classic South Park style.
I absolutely lost it at how aggressively uncomfortable her tyrannical classroom rules and constant complaints about her sagging anatomy made the kids. It perfectly captures that terrifying feeling of moving up a grade to a brutal new teacher.
While the boys’ sci-fi time-travel plot with Timmy is plenty of fun, and Garrison’s surreal journey to accepting his sexuality hits all the right bizarre notes, it’s Ms. Choksondik’s unhinged introduction that anchors the chaos. Permanently bumping the boys to the fourth grade was a massive status quo shift, and she made sure it kicked off with a brilliant, deeply offensive bang.
