Too Little Lamb, But a Cracking Dark Comedy Twist
IMDb rating: 7/10
I found this to be another good episode, though still nothing extraordinary. It moves the plot forward effectively and adds some interesting angles to the broader conspiracy, but I was definitely hoping for more Jackson Lamb screen time.
What really saves the hour from feeling middle-of-the-road is the execution of the climax. Shirley and Standish pulling off a chaotic save at one rally contrasts brilliantly with the absolute disaster at the other.
The ending twist was genuinely shocking, serving up a heavy dose of dark humour that caught me completely off guard. Having River and Coe accidentally trigger the very catastrophe they were sent to prevent is classic Slow Horses.
It is a solid 7/10 that delivers a memorable punch right when it needs it.
